Workshop Craftsperson / Maker (Rotterdam)

S.T.R.S. is a creative production workshop, specialising in custom-made objects for artists and designers. Based in Rotterdam, the S.T.R.S. team is recognised internationally for its expertise in hand-cast and crafted resin production. Working closely with both established names and young talent, the team explores the limits of each material and project with an uncompromising focus on detail and quality. The studio’s collaborative approach and passion for exploration and experimentation allows S.T.R.S. to constantly push the boundaries of production, optimising its processes and experimenting with both existing and new materials. Operating at a wide variety of scales – from one-off pieces to large editions and from small objects to major installations – each project is treated with the same extreme attention to detail, from conception to final product. At S.T.R.S. we work in a young and vibrant team.

We are looking for an experienced Workshop Craftsperson who will be joining our Rotterdam-based Production Team. Our new colleague will have workshop experience and the skills to operate various tools and machines. We mostly work on one-off pieces and on multiple projects at the same time, so you will need strong problem-solving skills to optimise production and also strong organisational skills to manage the projects. At S.T.R.S., you will be part of an international, talented team that focusses on the production of high-end design and art. A well-developed eye for detail and a good knowledge of English (speaking and understanding) are therefore indispensable.
